By now, everyone knows that SxSW was not about mobile apps.
What worked in the past for Twitter, Foursquare, GroupMe, Sonar and Highlight did not work in 2013. In fact, there was no clear winner at SxSW. Sure, people talked about new set of emerging technologies like 3D printing, collaborative tech, gesture tech and space exploration, but none of these can claim the title of “the next big thing.”
